We are down in Orange County right now with most of my family for the holiday weekend, and I thought it was appropriate to right a blog about the cars my great grandfather have in his garage. These cars were purchased more then 20 years ago and have been garage kept since the beginning. There is an age old dispute on who granddaddy will give the cars to one day, my grandmother says its her for sure, shes an only child and so her father will for sure give them to her. My aunt and uncle and dad all think they will get them one day, and naturally, the fourth generation, the great grandchildren, think we are next in line. The best idea is, he will keep them forever!
The first is a 1966 Stingray, with original yellow paint and the interior has been redone. Both of these vets have been to numerous car shows and have one awards in many catagories. My great grandfather takes them to drives for the cure to help raise money for prostate and breast cancer.
The second is the 1976 Stingray with a new paint job. The leather inside is all original, which is pretty impressive.
Hope everyone is enjoying this holiday and spending ti,e with the people you love! Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Gobble Gobble
Its almost turkey day!!! My favorite holiday, being the foodie that I am.
Here is what I am thankful for this year-
1. My health! I don't have insurance, so I am glad to be sick-free!!
2. My family. We sure know how to take care of eachother when times are tough
3. School! I am so lucky to be studying a subject which I love!
4. My housemates. Matt and Heather, you are amazing and I can't think of enough words of gratitude!
5. Italy!!!! I can't wait to be on that plane
6. Henry Cowell. There is no other place in this world to run. I love it!
7. Two-year-olds. You all know who you are, and I am so greatful to love you all and then leave when the day is done, haha.
8. Sharp Knives. I love my knives, and they love me too
9.My friends. I am so lucky to have close friends who truly care about me. I hop they come visit in Italy, cause I will miss them!
10. Soccer on Thursdays. Its so fun, and I am going to miss it next semester! Maybe I will learn a few things in Europe and then show my team up when I get home. hahahahahha.........not likely:)
And most of all, I am thankful for Jesus. I am so blessed in my life, even with the rough and tough, but it is through His love that I persevere. Thanks for all your prayers, they are greatly appreciated!

Airplane!
So the time has come. I have actually bought my airplane ticket to Italy, so there is no turning back. I fly out of DC on the 26th of January and I land in Sweden in the early morning of the 27th. I am only there for a few short hours and then back on the plane for a quick 1 hour flight to Italy. Everything is coming together and I am getting excited!
All I want to do now is pack!
68 more days!!

71 Full days and counting......
71 more days!! I am so excited and really starting to look forward to this next adventure in my life. Everyday I imagine myself getting out my backpack, loading all my warm winter clothes and jackets, and packing boxes for my dorm room to be shipped to Italy. I am also collecting pictures and other fun stuff for my bulletin board so I can have everyone I love "with me" while I am away!
I received a scholarship from Study Abroad Italy for $1,000! So that's always good, free money. Every paycheck is getting sent straight to school for now, so any prayers for tuition would be greatly appreciated! I am also still waiting to find out about my student loans and financial aid from Cabrillo as well, so its a work in progress. Thanks for all your support!
